🏆 KBYC Girls Make History at the 2026 US Team Race National Championship
The Team Race National Championship brought together 27 of the best team racing programs in the country at Larchmont Yacht Club, New York — and Key Biscayne Yacht Club showed up ready to compete.
Neve, Sailor, Regan & Grace represented KBYC across three demanding days of competition, facing the top team racing sailors in the United States. This is a team that has been building momentum — having already competed as a full girls team at the Midwinter Team Race Championship in St. Petersburg back in January.
The result speaks for itself — Silver Fleet finish and the distinction of best girls team at the championship.
Team racing is one of the most tactically complex and physically demanding disciplines in sailing. It requires sharp decision-making, constant communication, and the ability to execute under pressure — race after race, all day long. These four sailors delivered exactly that.
This result is not a destination. It is a milestone in a deliberate, long-term development process. Every regatta we attend, every race we sail, every lesson we take from the water brings this team closer to their ultimate goal — competing at the highest level at the 2027 Midwinter Team Race Championship, hosted right here at KBYC.
